MOGL at SDSU!
MOGL, the leading restaurant loyalty program, today announced that it has partnered with Operation Homefront - California, a field office of the national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency financial and other assistance to military families in need. Starting now, MOGL will donate five dollars to Operation Homefront every time they receive a new member sign up via their dedicated partner page at: military.mogl.com – or when new members sign up at MOGL.com or via the mobile app using the referral code: “military”.
In addition to the five dollars donated for every new sign up, this partnership will also donate a portion of their ongoing spend at any of MOGL’s 1800+ restaurant partners to support Operation Homefront’s cause.
“We are offering an exciting and impactful new way to support military families, that has serious potential to raise a substantial amount of money over time,” said Jon Carder, CEO and Co-Founder for MOGL. “At its core, MOGL is a company firmly committed to giving back to local communities – and Operation Homefront is an incredible organization that we are proud to partner with in this way.”
Similar to the approach of MOGL’s Meal for a Meal program with Feeding America, the more people who sign up for MOGL and eat out at participating restaurants under this new program, the greater the impact. In fact, MOGL hopes that its seamless giving-back platform will create a much-needed annuity stream of donations for Operation Homefront – allowing them the ability to provide more assistance to wounded warriors who have given the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our county.
“The service men and women of our nation and their families sacrifice so much on our behalf each and every day,” said Jack Chirrick, Executive Director, Operation Homefront – California. “We believe their sacrifices warrant our support, and we are grateful to MOGL for joining us in our cause to help military families and wounded warriors.”
MOGL is the fastest-growing customer loyalty program for restaurants on the west coast, with thousands of restaurant partners throughout California (expansion coming soon). Additional benefits for MOGL members include an automatic 10% cash-back on every bill and the ability to compete and win a monthly jackpot cash prize if they are one of the top three customers at any particular venue that month.
Signing up for MOGL is free and easy to do. To participate in the MOGL/Operation Homefront program, please visit military.mogl.com – or go to MOGL.com and use the referral code: military. Simply register any debit or credit card, and start seamlessly earning your rewards (and donating dollars to support military families) each time you dine out at MOGL restaurants. To search for participating restaurants near you, visit MOGL.com or download the mobile app for iPhone or Android.
Based in San Diego, Calif., MOGL is the fastest-growing restaurant loyalty program on the west coast, hooking its members up with cash for dining out at their favorite restaurants, while donating meals to people in need. The company seamlessly offers cash-back to consumers every time they use their own registered debit or credit card at thousands of MOGL restaurants throughout California. No coupons, punch cards, check-ins or hassles; members simply eat out and cash in! MOGL celebrates a simple philosophy: reward customers for their loyalty and they’ll reward you back. Through its Meal for a Meal program with Feeding America, MOGL supports local communities by donating a meal to someone in need when MOGL members dine out. To date, more than 300,000 meals have been donated. MOGL is the proud recipient of the Best Food APP of 2012 by Food & Beverage Magazine, as well as named one of the Best Mobile Startups of 2012 by LAPTOP Magazine. The MOGL sales and success teams came together for the semiannual National Sales Meeting. With forty-five people gathering, this doubles the number of attendees of the last meeting just six months ago. The theme of “Salespocalypse” was in full force with the help of Chewbacca, who was kind enough to make an appearance during the morning introductions. In true MOGL fashion, lasers and a light show marked the end of daily deals. It’s time for MOGL to save the world!
Because a MOGL meeting wouldn’t be complete without some gamification, the sales and success team members got the opportunity to show off their skills in “Minute to Win it” games between the presentations given by all the departments. The first and one of the most popular games was “Chocolate Unicorn”, where you had to stack seven cookies on your forehead. Everyone had to have quick fingers for the next game, which was “Hanky Panky”. A tissue box had to be emptied by pulling out the tissues one by one. The third game, “Face the Cookie”, involved moving a cookie from your forehead to your mouth while using only your face muscles. Control had to be utilized during “Don’t Blow the Joker”. A deck of cards (with the Joker on the bottom) was stacked on top of a bottle, and you had to blow all the cards except the Joker off the bottle. Nicole Johnson, a success MOGL in Ventura, walked away as the winner of the “Minute to Win it” finals.
The National Sales Meeting ended on an exciting note with some announcements. To incentivize the MOGL teams even further, the execs announced the creation of the President’s Club. Once a team member reaches a certain percentage past his or her goal, he or she gets to go on a trip. And of course, because MOGL is all about recognizing its employees for all of their hard work, awards were handed out to our MVPs.
In this, the fifth month of 2012, we felt it appropriate to celebrate 5 fantastic milestones!

The best part - the more you give, the more you live, and thanks to your help we have donated 50,000 meals to those in need! 50,000!!
So with that, we give you a high five and say thanks!

MOGL may have a new address, but we’re still bringing that same attitude: MAKING THE WORLD’S ACTIVITIES MORE FUN! We’ve uprooted our Solana Beach offices and high tailed it to the San Diego Tech Center in the heart of Sorrento Valley. The Grassy tech campus allows us more room to stretch our paws, and comes equipped with gym, basketball court, and a five-acre Zen garden. Which has MO excited too!
Sticking with the MOGL motto for making activities more fun, we’ve taken that mind set straight into the work place. The MOGL touch can be seen throughout the new office. We said goodbye to the previous cold tile floors, windowless offices, drab yellow paint, and blew out walls to create an open and inviting new space. Keeping it simple but classy, we now have the elements needed to foster those creative juices.
All MOGL employees are centralized, sitting elbow-to-elbow in a think tank that encourages innovation and a long-term vision, a core value for MOGL employees. The office is far from standard. We’ve got the basics, like a fully stocked kitchen/bar, 20 person conference room, and entire walls covered in whiteboard paint for brainstorming. Of course, we didn’t stop there! The MOGL office is complete with game room, relaxation room, and green Razor scooters for in-office transportation that embody the kind of fun we like to have around here.
We started with eating out in our quest to make the world’s activities more fun. Now with the new office in full swing, we’re making work more fun too! Check out the Facebook page for some of the new office pictures and see how MOGL rolls!
